I tried this beer on May 9, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario on tap. The beer was a beautiful dark brown with some plum coloured hints and a thin, rocky, tan coloured head. The aroma was sweet malt, with some yeasty tones, as well as chocolate and cherry hints. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, mildly carbonated, and slightly creamy. The flavour was caramel malt, some other fruit flavours like cherries and plum, and a little hoppish bitterness to round it out. I loved this beer.

Jul 8, 2008 pours a dark brown with lasting head. alcohol is the first thing you smell when you put your nose in it. there is also some molasses and yeast with some fermented fruit as well. taste is of fermented fruit and yeast. not much alcohol taste which is nice since it is so strong in the scent. overall, a very nice beer.

Jul 8, 2008 Pour was cloudy dark brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma is up front alcohol with caramel, malt, and strong fruit characters. Flavors are well balanced of fruit, malt, slight hop characters, and more alcohol. Carbonation is very full and pleasant. alcohol is also noticable. Good brew. Would buy again.
