3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From notes: Part of a flight @ Unoís in Neshaminy, PA. Poured coppery amber with an off-white head. Mild aroma of lemon mixed with some malt sweetness. Medium body with a slight thickness. Flavor of toffee mixed with citrus, and some spices in the finish. Might have to try again to get a better tasting.

Continuing the La Trappe tasting. Surprisingly hot actually - I think Iíve had this before but it is really aggressive. I like where itís going with the hop edge, but I canít get past the heat.

33cl bottle from Appellation Wines.
Appearance -a beautiful amber going into red with a perfectly proportioned head.
Nose - very gentle toffee and cream.
Taste - toffee and green apple skins.
Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy but tangy texture and a relatively fresh finosh.
Overall - least exciting La Trappe beer Iíve had but still good.

A nice beer. Not amazing. Bready amber malts, orange, fruity Belgian yeast. Relatively easy to drink. Seems appropriately celebratory.
