Pour Deeb amber, with a big fomay white head. A bit bitter, or bitter-sweet. Aroma of sour fruits. Not my cop of tea, so to speak.

Hark! What flavor doth impart upon thine palate?! It is this BPA and my tongue is ablaze with delight! Goes daggum good with these buffalo wings! This brew had my senses on overload! Abundant in scent and abundant in flavor, this brew was quite the excitement from start to finish! As the brew warmed up those flavors and scents became much more robust and I found that as it continued to warm that brew just got better and better! Definitely a quality brew to have a good stock of on-hand!

33cl bottle - gusher - pours a turbid purplish red - thick, frothy, lasting head - musty, dusty, earthy aroma, with notes of doughy yeast, Christmas cookies, plum, fig, bread pudding/treacle, cinnamon - soft carbonation, somewhat creamy in the mouth - flavor is sweet, but not nearly as much as the aroma suggests - notes of raisin and plum, a bit of toffee - moderate spiciness - mild earthiness, cobweb, oxidation - finish sweetens up a bit more, but the pronounced character in the finish is an almost peppery spiciness - I like it!

drfat at Blue Monk. Toffee/caramel colored pour. Rich maltiness & toffee are the dominant factors in the aroma. Light nuttiness, lots of toffee richness, raisiny notes. Very flavorful, surprised at the average ratings

On tap at the abbey cafe during last week’s trip to Belgium. Reviewed from notes. Served in a La Trappe chalice. Pours an amber-caramel color with a great white head and plenty of lacing. The nose brings light fruit and some caramel. A bit of bread crust. The flavor adds in a fair amount of fruit. The mouthfeel is full and chewy with a bit of alcohol and light bitterness. Nothing spectacular.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass orange, huge head. Starts mild, moldy-malty, a bit yeasty. Fruity notes of banana. Also some spicy notes. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. Not bad!

Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels
Hazy golden-amber color. Mild malt aroma with light vegetables. Correct body strength; malt flavor with some sweetness, light fruitiness (peach/apricot jam), but also very light vegetables; low bitterness. Drinkable, but uncomplex.
