from Mise en Bière, Lausanne - pours a hazy dark amber beer with a persistent and creamy beige head; aroma of caramel and nougat with some yeasty notes and hints of banana; velvety palate and a good malt backbone, some sweetness and a late earthy bitterness; creamy caramelish aftertaste with more notes of yeast and honey

Ambrée légèrement trouble, pétillance moyenne, fine mousse persistante. Bien maltée, amertume légère, petit goût de caramel sucré et fruité. Un peu trop courte en bouche.

Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber with a foamy off-white head and lacing. It has a rich aroma of raisin, plum, apple, and sweet malt and spice. The flavor has dark fruit up front with a slightly spicy middle and sweet, rich fruit aftertaste over a medium body and high coronation level. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lite av kvällens första överraskning. Per bjuder på en flaska han kommit över. Något oklart vilken ålder men troligen ca 7 år. Trevlig doft med lite fikon och russin. Balanserad i smak. Bra grejer

30cl bottle at home. Cloud amber with a small white head. Soft bitter with caramel sweetness. Somehow french cheese came to mind.

On tap at Mayor of Old Town. Caramel colored and pretty clear with a white head. The aroma is malty and sweet with caramel, candy sugar, dark fruit and Belgian yeast. Similar flavor with light alcohol and a medium to full body. Nice and smooth

75 cl bottle, 7.5%. Copper color with a big offwhite head. Yeasty nose. Caramel and spices, butterscotch, earthy, grassy hops. Robust taste with a proper balance between sweetnes and bitterness. Well bodied one and easy to go.

Comes out of the tap a barely translucent sienna. with a decent, if not persistent, light wheat head that still manages to leave some generous lacing. Robust aroma has firm notes of fresh-cut wood, caramel, sweet malt and caramel. Woody hop dominates the flavor, which is more sweet than bitter, and has nice malty, caramel and earthy notes. Firm texture leaves a nice tingly and woody finish. I’m sure Brother Isidorus would be danged proud!

Bottle 0,33L. Slightly hazy, orange to red colour with small, beige, creamy head. Relatively strong fruity aroma (grape, apple, pear, peach) and a little caramel. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonation and moderate bitter taste and aftertaste.

Bottle at home. It has been sitting in the back of the cupboard for a while. Date on the bottle is 01 / 2012. Probably past its best. Caramel candy floss aroma, touch of soap in there as well. Some yeast. Amber colour big lively cream head. Flavour is mid sweet caramel some canned raisin. Medium duration. Toffee apple. Dryish finish.
