| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 2, 2010 Bottle: Deep amber, hazy, huge pillowy off-white head, spotty lacing. Musty basement like malts. A little fruity. Musty malts on the tongue, basement funk, pale apple and pear skin. Bubbley, rather spritzy. Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full. Certainly comes across as a Belgian Amber. Lingering pale fruit skin and musty malts. Pale sweetness. Yeah, musty musty musty. Tiz okay, but rather plain and musty. If it isn’t a Dubbel, Tripel, Quad, or even a Dark Belgian, it always seems too simple.
