3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Whoa! A real trappist beer in a Norwegian supermarket?? Organic and unfiltered, even! What’s next? Atom bombs?
A beautiful beer nonetheless, with a nice drawing of some hop cones on the label. Pours a light golden brew, with a slim head which goes away rather fast. Nose is definitely belgian, with those bubblegum-y bananaish caramelish aromas. Good mouthfeel, very soft carbonation, something I do like. Aroma follows the nose with added spices (I’m guessing it’s spicy esters from the yeast), floral hops and maybe a hint of raisins and caramels. Easy to drink, nice and dry. Quite satisfying!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Golden clear with a thick white head. Smells of fruity citrus and salami?!? Taste is more like a weissbier without the banana. Taste of citrus acids and flour malts, some grass hops and a smooth bitter finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
0.33L bottle picked up at my local MENY grocery store. Mostly diminishing coarse big-bubbled white head. Body is hazed pale yellow. Smell of herbs and flowers and sweet honeyed malts. Taste is ’green’ and herbal. Restrained semi-dry pale malts. Grassy bitterness. Some sweet-accented fruit tones underneath. Light to medium full. Light astingent mouthfeel. Herbal and light soapy endnotes.

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear yellow-golden body. Fairly interesting aroma with grass, flour, coriander, even milk. Unfortunately a very flat, uninteresting taste. Light sourness and very dry. Reminds me of budweiser... Horrible attempt by Bavaria to earn money from the trappists? Cheap, though. (1,30 EUR, 33cl bottle)
