Golden ale. White, huge head with laces. Aroma with notes of citrusy and flowery hops. The flavour is malty sweet with notes of hay. Hoppy, bitter finish.

The surprise is how easily drinkable this beer is, yet it is hoppy and well rounded at the same time. If this is characteristic of Belgian ale - I want more.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe Clearance section. Pours clear gold, long-lasting thin white head. Aromas of straw, herbal hops, Belgian yeast, light wheat beer notes. Taste is more grass, straw, green hops, faint spice. Creamy texture, grassy linger. Like a Belgian ale/lager hybrid.

Bottle 0,33l. A bit cloudy, pale straw colored beer. Decent aroma, Belgian yeast, malt, fruits, apples. Slightly sweet flavor, moderately bitter, pale malt and fruitiness, light bodied.
Decent fruity ale, pleasant one.

Bottle 0,33l from ABS drinks, Winksele. Pale little hazy body, high white head. Aroma of belgian yeast, banana, pale malt, hint of herbal hops. Taste is bitter and yeasty, slightly dry. Herbal hops (slightly biting), yeast, pale malt, notes of citruses. Medium body and carbonation.
Not bad, but I think, I expected more...

Puur has a foam that is creamy and pure white, with long durability. It has typical aromas of Belgian yeast and notes of wheat beer. The taste is something powerful with the wheat malts good taste which coriander is clear and slightly dominant.

0,33 l pullo @ the Oak Barrel HeVa. Sameahko vaaleankeltainen. Näyttää kesäisen raikkaalta. Tuoksussa humalaa, sitrusta, pehmeää mallasta. Rasvan haju vaikeuttaa aromin arvostelua, tuoksu on hennon puoleinen. Ehkä hiivaa? Maussa mallasta, humalaa, sitrusta, leipää. Selvä ja hyvä humalan maku ilman liian purevaa karvautta.

33cl bottle from Systembolaget. It poured a pale golden colour with a medium big white foamy head and a moderate amount of carbonation. Although the appearance might be a bit wanting the aroma is classic belgian. Sweet malts, yest, bananas, grass. Flavour is very moderate. Grass, bread, citrus. After a short while the yeast and bananas appear. Some spices. Coriander perhaps. Short aftertaste. It’s a decent beer, but I’m not going to go searching for it. There are more interesting beers from La Trappe.
