Dark yellow colored, cloudy appearance. Little white head. Hopped-grassy aroma with lemon and thin yeast, good and fresh one. Medium bodied. Flavor is more fruity, still bitter grass dominating and lasting in aftertaste. I like this, well balanced.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden beer. Aromas of pine hops and a hint of coriander. Taste is sweet malts with a dry bitter finish. Good but the body is a bit too thin.

Pours a pale straw blonde colour, almost clear with a finger of fluffy white head. The aroma is malty with some saison-style yeasty notes, moderate aromatics, soft piny hops and a hint of orange zest with some swirling. Light bodied palate, very clean with a predominantly dry and malty base. The finish is short to medium. A refreshing beer for warm days, but remains a very forgettable experience. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Normal Pilsner color, small foam head. Aromas of chickpeas, sea weed, wet grains. Strange Pilsner taste: watery, salty. Not great. The bitterness only begins to swell in the aftertaste.

bottle @ home. Pours clear yellow with a large white head. Fruity dry aroma with banana, hay, smoked ham, apples, crackers & cloves and hints of lemon. Nice. Light bodied dry taste with medium carbonation. Taste has wheat, hay, lemon, ham, leather, red apples, pepper and some crackers. Finishes quickly and dry with a bit watery feeling and a low spicy bitterness.

Hazy light golden with some sediment. Very little head. Scent is of hops and lemon. The taste is pleasantly hoppy and spicy (cinnamon), but is also surprisingly malty considering the very hoppy scent. A little watery aftertaste without the bitterness that often comes with lots of hops. Carbonation is medium, and the mouth feel is a tad soapy.

My Bottom Line:
Bready yeast plus banana and pear esters become cereals and mild herbal hop bitterness in this quaffable Belgian-style Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the clear pale blond.
-The mouthfeel is a cushion; natural effervescence and lean sugars.
-The fruitiness becomes more and more pear skin-like with every sip.
-I’m curious to find out whether the pricklier carbonation on tap changes the flavour profile.

On tap at Il Santo Bevitore, Venice.

Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours golden with a little head. The aroma features pale, grainy maltiness, herbal spiciness and citrus fruitiness. Taste is dry and light sour, very crisp, even a bit tart with no sweetness around. Citrus, apple and herbs provide the flavours. The palate is light to medium bodied with a moderate to lively carbonation. Refreshing dry and sour Belgian.
