from Au Grain d’Orge, Neuchâtel - slightly hazy golden blond beer with a firm long lasting white foam; a fresh hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, hay, vanilla and some undefined herbs; medium-bodied and with a rounded palate; pretty bitter and with a long herbal and citrusy hoppy finish - clearly the best of the la Trappe beers

"Organic unfiltered Trappist" steht als Sorte auf dem Etikett. Farblich ist es blond, man sieht hefeteilchen schwimmen, die Schaumkrone hält gut. Es riecht süßlich fruchtig etwas citrussäuerlich und erstaunlich herb! Im Geschmack bestätigt sich dies es ist sehr herb dazu fruchtig, hefig-trappistig. Ein sehr hopfig-herber Trappist (auf dem Etikett sind auch Doldenhopfenabgebildet) der dennoch die anderen Aromen nicht vergisst. Fazit: Sehr interessant, einzigartig, gut! Flaska som enligt märkning passerat bäst före datum för 4 månader sedan. Gyllengul klar vätska, vit skum. Lätt oljig, apelsinskal, gräsig lätt kådig beska, lätt kropp som ändå inte känns tunn. Riktigt bra, men jag undrar hur bra den är färsk.

330ml bottle. Fresh hop aromas. Pour bright gold, bit hazy, with some white head, vanishing. No lacing.Light body and high carbonation. Taste is herbal, hoppy, slightly bitter.Moderate bitter aftertaste.

Doft av humle, lite söt smak av humle, gräs, tallbarr med en sträv beska av tallkåda.

Bottle. Pours a murky yellow with a creamy white head. Good lacing. Dry, tart and sweet aroma with citrus hops (with a slight artificial feel to it) and some yeast notes. Flavour is hops and yeast; kind of mild, but good and tasty. Bitter hoppy finish. Overall a decent little beer. 23.04.12.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Yeasy nose withn coriander and citrus. Light bodied with soft mouthfeel. Grainy and creamy with dough and bitter orange. Marked bitterness.

330ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a firm white head. Aroma has wheat, malt, yeast, vegetables and some hints of wood. Flavour has wheat, citrus and yeast. Medium bodied but a little bit watery mouthfeel. A bit stingy carbonation also. Lingering bitter finish. Rather odd brew for my taste. Nice label.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Rotem’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Pours clear pale golden with a small white head. Fruity, citrus leaves aroma, full, cider-like sweetness. Light body, bitter finish and very carbonated.

A good beer I had it in a Vilvoorde beer fest last year, can’t remember the exact impression I had of this beer, I can remember the hoppy aroma and a cool taste, wasn’t my favorite of the day but pretty decent though.
