Bottle. Pours a dark brownish/amber color with a nice off white head. Aroma is basically dominated by oak, but I also get alot of sweetness, dark fruits and a touch of alcohol. Flavor is of dark fruits, caramel, toffee, sweet matls, a touch of alcohol and vanilla, oak and an almost smokey note. The body is medium with a dry mouthfeel. Overall a pretty nice Quadrupel, and the oak aging does it good, still no where near as complex as Rochefort 10 or Westvleteren 12.

375ml corked & caged bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a off-white head that left nice lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel, raisins, oak, vanilla, dark fruit and toffee. Rich & velvety flavor with oak, vanilla, caramel, raisins, alcohol, dark fruit and toffee. Medium to full body with a smooth sticky texture and had a dry finish

Bottle, bought @ HJ Hansen, Odense.
Pours light unclear brownish-amber. Medium frothy, off-white head. Great lacing and duration. Aroma has figs, raisins, caramel, toasted oak, light smoke, red apples. Medium carbonation, light and rather dry mouthfeel. Flavour is soft, lots of liqourice, oak, mild smoke, fat caramel, red apples. Some grapes. Fine and dry, mildly vinious finish. Good, but the regular La Trappe from 2000 we had next to it was better.

Thanks Armin. The beer pours to a dark amber brown body with an off-white head. The aromas and flavors were sweet molasses, tobacco, and oaky. Lots of candi sugar with some light yeasty bananas. Overly sweet palate.

Thanks to Armin for bringing the bottle! Poured clear medium amber with a healthy cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up a very healthy, meaty, very assertive dark fruit impression with hints of lemon and lots of oak around..a bit too heavy on the sweetness for my liking, but still solid. The flavor found similar heavy sweet fruits and vanilla all the way through.. very oaky as well, which really dried out the finish.. overall decently balanced and tasty. medium-bodied and sweet on the palate, with a whole lot of oak.. overall a solid brew.

Bottle. Pours dark reddish brown with white head, aroma has notes of lots of oak, rum soaked raisins, some toffee, caramel, slight grain with a touch of fruit. Taste is some harsh caramel and toffee, dark fruit and some molasses and lots of oak to it as well. Really nice and bold, dry in the finish, the right ways.

Bottle shared by EZAnt, thanks Anthony. Poured an orange/amber with an average foamy off white bubbly head. Aroma of wood, alcohol, wet wood, vanilla, toffe, dark fruit and a hint of butter. Thin to average body with stronger carbonation and a very foamy overall. Flavor of alcohol, bread, apples, tea and wood. Meh was hoping for more from a BA quad but this one is just okay at best.

Bottle (batch 3) thanks to drbill. Pours with a hazy amber hued body with a lasting tan head and some very nice lace. Aromas are quite rich with caramel, melanoidins, dark fruits, raisins, oak and brown sugar. Very rich malt profile with some dark fruit esters. Very light oak presence. Flavors are rich and velvety with notes of raisins, figs dates and oak. Estery with medium toasted wood notes. Sweet overall but a very nice balance. Medium bubbles, dry, very lightly tannic. Well done.
