I was not expecting much. I love the orginal, and know it quite well, having sampled it at various age, but this is something different. Very woody aroma, same thing when taking a sniff of a good Chablis, same oak. Some wine grapes. Looks like a regular quad, coppar dark brown with a small head. Taste is complex, the maltiness of the original is gone, but instead I have a very complex taste of raisins, toast, some chardonnay acidness. I first though I had some whiskey notes but that is that oakey alcahol burn. This is incredible, well worth the price tag. 12 $ in Reykjavik.

Bottle at Fermentoren. Pours a hazy brown with an offwhite head. Smells of caramel, brown sugar, white wine, spices. Tastes of a heavy sweetness, mild tart, some acidity, mild bitter. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, syrupy texture. The initial taste was much stronger on the white wine, esp compared to the dregs of #4 I had just finished. Mouthfeel is still quite white wine.

Draught at MikkellerBAR. Clear brown - offwhite head. Nutty. Sweetness. LIght wine notes. Raisins. Fruity. Ok wooden. Banana. Toasted malts. Light chocolate. Peppery. High malty. Too sweet.

#1425 draught; nose is heavy green apple acid, sweet plum, some dry rosehip, almond, feel and carb are medium, taste is mediumsweet apple, some almond, dry lemon, later rubber note

Light brown with a small off White head. Aroma of Wood, vanilla, grapes, and the whitewhine barrel notes makes perfect sence, they are there along with the rest. Heavy toffee flavor, alchohol, lots of vinouse notes, again vanilla. Desert like finish with the previous notes lingering. Great

Colour is brown, unclear. Has a white head, medium duration. Aroma is white port, vanilla, alcohol, sweet. Flavor is sweet, coco, vanilla, more port-wine, light acid, almost no bitternss. Soft. Warming alcohol.

010811: A fantastic and exciting aged beer. dry white wine aroma. Rich delicious flavor with good notes from the cask.

A clear light brown colored beer, with a smaal beige head. The aroma of fruits with tonsel, light notes of wood, some wine notes. The taste of sweet fruits, some tonsel a little alcohol. The aftertaste sweet with alcohol.
