Sweet woody smell. No head. Dark red brown color. Sweet Carmel and way over the top oak flavor. Woody taste right up in your face so much it over shadows all other flavors. Way to expensive

37.5cl bottle. Tasting of the 12 first La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged variants, together with the original beer (La Trappe Quadrupel).
Appearance: small unstable head, amber beer.
Nose: lots and lots of ardbeg...
Taste: this beer is out of balance for me, it has to much ardbeg, whiskey taste, there is some sweetness noticeable, but should have been more to balance it out. But a faithful whiskey drinker will probably enjoy this beer a lot!

Hála Armando vasharapó fogsorának, amivel kinyitotta ezt az üveget, amit a személyzet még dugóhúzóval sem mert megkísérelni! Igen vörösessárga színe van a habja pedig az üvegben maradhatott. Illata whiskys, malátás, tölgyfás, kissé vaníliás. Íze gyümölcsös, whiskys, dohányfüstös, aszalt fügés, édeskés, vaníliás és taninos. Elég sűrű és közepesen testes. Kesrédes, pipafüstös utóíze van. Nekem bejött!

Smoked wooden aroma.
Leather in the flavour. Pretty sweet.

Bottle shared. Pours hazy brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of plastercine, oak and overripe fruits. Whiskey comes out in the flavour, heavy sweet and light bitter. Full bodied and soft carbonation.

Thin off white head. Slightly hazy amber pour. Clear oak notes.

Hazy red brown, small beige head. Aroma and taste are very woody, with whiskey and ash. But on the dry side and body might have been fuller. Still a great beer, my kind of I’d say :-)

Smokey... Whiskey... Great thick mouthfeel it’s got body nailed. The alcohol is hidden nicely, but still reminds you that it’s there.
