3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy maple syrup colored pour. Thin head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of peat and cherries. Taste is smokey, flavors from the different Scotch barrels are predominant with a peaty, cherry lingering finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle labeled as batch: K03E11) After wrestling the cork out, the first thing I notice about this is that it appears to be almost still. The aroma has notes of red wine, tannins, peat, and alcohol. Pours a clear dark ruby, with no head, and very little visible carbonation. Very complex flavor, with peat coming through initially, with some burnt notes as well. There’s still quite a bit of sweetness in this, which helps to mask the alcohol a bit. The booze still comes through with some warming notes in the finish. Slippery mouthfeel, and completely still. There’s no carbonation at all, which would really help this beer out. Overall, with this bottle, I don’t think it was worth the price. I’d like to try this again at some point, hopefully with carbonation.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
375 c&c from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours brown with a few bubbles. Aoma of peat, dark malt and oak. Full bodied. Flavor is fruity, very little carbonation, dusty oak and lots of peat. The scotch aspects are rather mellow. But strong. Goes well with Stinking Bishop. And with Chimay Grand Cru.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12.7 oz. bottle picked up at Party Source from notes. Pours a hazy deep copper color with a medium sized creamy off white head. The nose has big ripe fruits, raisins, fig, caramel, brown sugar, oak, scotch whiskey notes are noticeable with wood and peat, and a touch of the alcohol. The flavor is more fruits, raisins, fig, caramel, oak, scotch whiskey, peat and boozy alcohol. There is some burn to the mouth feel that grabs my attention, but I like this entire series.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
375 ml bottle at home. Pours cloudy dark copper amber with no head, no carbonation. Deep nutty and toffee alike aromas, little bit of wet cardboard as well, alcohol already coming through... Medium body, flat as can be, a tad watery, taste is bland, like whisky with lots of water, little smoke at the end. Expected it to hold a bit up longer (3 years old).

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, shared by Ferris. Dark reddish amber with literally no head. Cooked peaches, caramel and faint peat. Barely any detectable peat here, and just a ghost of a quad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Whisky, peat and some sweet stone fruit. Pretty clear copper with no head. Woody, peaty, stone fruit Great peaty beer, very light and easy drinking. A bit disappointing for a quad.
