COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Batch 9 is de eerste waarbij gebruik is gemaakt van Malbecwijnvaten afkomstig uit Cahors. Deze wijn valt op door het zeer hoge tanninegehalte afkomstig uit de Pinot Noir druif welke de donkerste en meest tanninerijke wijndruif is. Doordat deze wijndruif echter zeer gevoelig is wordt zij weinig meer geteeld maar heeft een heel eigen karakter. Door onze quadrupel op deze wijnvaten te laten rijpen komen veel smaakassociaties uit deze wijn in het gelagerde bier terug. Omdat het gelagerde bier uit deze vaten toch al zo rijkelijk aan smaak is hebben we voor deze batch het percentage nieuw eiken teruggeschroefd tot 14%. Hierdoor is de houtsmaak en uit hout komende aroma’s iets minder maar komt het mooie wijnboeket van de Malbecwijn des te beter door.
