COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The strongest of the special beers. Its flavor is full, mild and pleasantly bitter. Quadrupel is presently available in the autumn, is bottled by the year and is perfect company for those long winter evenings.

Copper tinted amber, slightly off white head, thick lacing. Fruity aroma, alcohol and malt notes with sugar. Taste is almost cloyingly sweet with figs, caramel, bready malts and some yeast. Smooth palate with somewhat prickly carbonation. Excellent.

Bread, caramel, and a little fruit in the aroma. More caramel, fruit, and toffee in the flavor, which closes with a spicy, slightly bitter bite. Really good.

This trappiste quad pours paler than most (Orval and westmalle excluded) but presents as a pale brown, cloudy ale with no head retention. Smells like dark fruit and caramelized sugar. Tastes like chocolate, toffee, plums and other Christmas fruits. For all those fans of trappiste beer that think this Dutch trappiste brewery is a step behind it’s Belgian counterparts, I think this beer proves that la trappe is right in the mix

Dark brown red color; good steady creamy foam; beautiful complex thick full body taste of orange, sour citrus, ethanol, fruits, sweet malts and crispy carbonation. Warm after taste, almost no bitterness. Just a terrific wonderful gerat beer.

I had this one a long time ago. If I have the chance to drink it again, I’ll update this rating

In bottle. Pours a dark amber colour with a thick, tight beige head. Aroma of raisins, toffee, alcohol and caramel. Similar flavours of raisins and toffee with alcohol fairly present. A little sweet and just mildly bitter. Heavy carbonation and light CO2 prickle with a chewy mouth-feel.

Pours a deep amber/copper color with a small khaki head that dissipates into a thin ring. Aromas mostly consisting of dark fruit, sugar and alcohol. Flavors of dark fruit (mostly cherries), candy, caramel and a hint of alcohol burn. Medium bodied with kind of a creamy finish. I liked this a lot. Though nothing about this beer wows me it is solid in every aspect.
