No paladar, o comportamento é igualmente estupendo. Dark copper pour with fluffy off white head and excellent lace. toast, caramel malts on the nose. Sweet malts, dark fruit and molasses. Long dry finish BlackForestCO (819), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Aug 31, 2008 Updated: Feb 18, 2009Bottle shared by Crosling, thanks dude. Poured a deep garnet-brown color with a moderate beige head that slowly receded to a ring. Aroma of toasty caramel malt with some brown sugar and sweet plum, dark grapes, fig, and a light yeastiness. Moderately sweet brown sugar entry transitions into a toasty caramel malt followed by some hints of dark fruit (plum, grape, fig) that mingle well with a lightly dry, yeasty finish. Smooth, slick, and full on the palate. scottw86 (180), Maryland, USA Aug 29, 2008 Poured a deep reddish brown with a full off-white head. Aroma was very rich, some fruity notes, as well as some bannana. Taste was very smooth, hints of apples and grapes. Finish was a bit sour. Very enjoyable. ahnakel (10), , Georgia, USA Aug 29, 2008 This beer was amazing, I think I have a new favorite. This was recommended to me by a friend. I will thank him. daknole (2802), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2008 bottle, and a helluva quad IMO. Reddish/brown pour with a light tan head. Aroma is all sugar, malt, syrup and dark fruit. Flavor is sweet and malty with a certain alcohol burn. Good stuff if taken in slowly. BrotherGrendel (545), San Diego (La Jolla), California, USA Aug 23, 2008 On tap at O’Brien’s.
Appearance is a clear dark red hue, dense layer of off-white foam, moderate lacing.
Smell is sugar and sweet fruits mostly, pear syrup dominates, cotton candy is in the mix too.
Taste is pears with a touch of raisins, some sweet malts and yeast in the middle, finishes with slight alcohol warming.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, watery texture, prickly carbonation.
Drinkability is fair, surprisingly pear-dominated quad, the alcohol is well-masked, quite light and fruity for the style.
