Commercial Description:
The strongest of the special beers. Its flavor is full, mild and pleasantly bitter. Quadrupel is presently available in the autumn, is bottled by the year and is perfect company for those long winter evenings.

Bottle Pours dark coppery with tawny hints, aroma of round malts, toffee, prunes, and dried pears, strong rounded malty flavours of the palate, which seemed to me better when the beer was colder, and faded with time. Very good.

75cl Bottle. Pours a warm bronze, with short living off-cream head. Full bodied yeast to the nose, and honey, caramel and yeast on the palate, with very reassuring mouthfeel. Well struck balance with the alcohol playing an expertly complementary role. Great quadruple.

Pours clear red brown orange with some bubbly white head. Aroma is caramel apricot syrup. Flavor is creamy fruit, especially peaches. Heavy mouthfeel and lots of malt.

The beer pours a cooper amber with a fine white head. There are small sediments floating in the beer that is also full of carbonation. The nose is a rich yeasty mix of berries and caramel there is also a clear underpinning of alcohol. The taste is a big mix of alcohol, caramel and yeast. As highly carbonated as the beer looked I was expecting it to have more of a bite but it is a smooth heady alcohol forward brew.

bottle. Konings Hoeven quad. Pours a dark ruddy amber color, nice inch thick foamy head. Aromas of booze, apples and raisins. Heavy carbonation is immediately noticeable. Flavors of fruit- more from the nose, the apples, raisins... some notes of plums and figs. Plenty of booze heat in the flavor, some heavy malt flavors to balance it, though still on the hot side.

Bottle. Pours a dark orange with a huge creamy off-white head that left good lacing. Sweet fruity aroma with light alcohol present. Flavor also finds sweet fruits with a malt and yeasty backing. Medium body with a warming alcohol feeling.

One of the finest beers produced in the Netherlands. Complex yet balanced flavors. Dark fruit and caramel flavors apparent immediately with a sweet malt and raisin tasting finish. Full bodied but not overly so. Aroma was average for a quadruple, if not a bit overpowering. Overall an excellent beer!

One of my favorite quads/abts. Foamy/soapy head. Beautiful brown/amber color. Sweet, malty, brown sugar and sweet fruit.
