Jul 8, 2008 One of the finest beers produced in the Netherlands. Complex yet balanced flavors. Dark fruit and caramel flavors apparent immediately with a sweet malt and raisin tasting finish. Full bodied but not overly so. Aroma was average for a quadruple, if not a bit overpowering. Overall an excellent beer!

Jul 6, 2008 One of my favorite quads/abts. Foamy/soapy head. Beautiful brown/amber color. Sweet, malty, brown sugar and sweet fruit.

pours a dark orange, lots of carbination, large creamy, off-white head, good lacing.
smell is of dark fruit, caramel, light malt, touch of spice.
taste is of prunes, cherry, very strong alcohol.

Jun 30, 2008 bottle, pours reddish brown. big foamy head. strangely vibrant red. lots of fizz. nose is big malt bread, yeast, some candy sugars. taste is thick and creamy with lots of alcohol warming strange floral chocolate double cream liquourice. extremely complex. maybe too fluffy on the palate.

Jun 29, 2008 Bottle. An overall solid Quadruple ale. It’s dark amber/orange in color with a typical light brown foamy head. Smells of dark fruit, caramel, sweet malts, yeast, and alcohol. Flavor is sweet with milt bitterness. Very smooth and medium to full bodied. A very enjoyable brew.

Jun 29, 2008 Dark amber pour. Malt with dark fruits on the nose. Very sweet with some mild bittterness at the end. Very smooth but that is expect with most belgian style ales. Nice beer, very warming and extremely enjoyable. Would love to drink again when I am sober.

Jun 28, 2008 Bottled. Pours a deep vibrant orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet belgian yeast with some fairly strong alcohol notes. Flavor is sweet dark fruits with belgian yeast. Smooth and fruity with a warming finish.
