OK but could use a year or two to settle... tympanic (50), Alabama, USA May 1, 2008 Bottle labeled Konings hoeven. This is an interestingly spicy quadrupel. Fizzy, peppery, malty, chewy, warm. Though I am drinking this mid-spring, I appreciate the full-bodied complexity of this wonderful brew. ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Apr 29, 2008 Bottled(330ml). -Ruby red coloured, small head that fade away for about 2 seconds (the beer was served too cold), pleasant alcoholic fruity nose. The taste is sweet fruity (berries and dried fruit), alcoholic spicy and light yeasty. Very complex brew. This is a beer to drink and enjoy in chilly spring evening. rds (224), USA Apr 26, 2008 The suspended carbonation of this exquisite ale in a quadruppel brew leaves me speechless, but not wordless. One of my favoraite Belgian brews to date, it’s flavor is sublime, the aftertaste beckons for anolther gullp. What a treat! ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador Apr 26, 2008 Thanks to Ramenen. Bottle: Caramel and licorice on a floral and spicy background. ABV is well blended into this complex brew.
