Brown with a low head. Sweet aroma and flavour of peach, plume, kiwi and banana, but the alcohol is overwhelming and there is too much yeast to really cut it for me.

Bottle from Bev4Less. Super dark amber in color upon pouring. Aroma is slightly sweet with a big banana and spiced cloves. Rich malty dark fruits as well. Sweet dark fruit up front. Some yeast and spices. Some roasted maltiness. A hint of bitterness in the finish. Good sipper. Well hidden alcohol.

One of my favorite Belgians, and i can’t believe i haven’t rated it yet. Aroma is a fragrant red berry and and vanilla fruit malt, smells like your walking through the fruit section of the farmers market. that alcohol is sneaking out there. Taste is like cherry sucker with more of that vanilla malt ,and a smooth alcohol and slightly sweet finish. Taste is a little bitter in finish,so you can;t sip it to fast, which is just the way the monks wanted it. An absolute treat

Credevo peggio: molto anonima ma buonina. Peccato che la prenotazione di sto albergo a Parigi mi stia facendo diventare pazzo.

Nice color. Pours a dirty copper with a medium full head which dissipates quickly. Definite sharp alcohol nose, but sweet... like an aperitif. Not as fruity (apple/pear) as the others in the line, but very floral and pleasant (minus that initial alcohol). I like it, but there are others which are better. had floaty bits of yeast (even is carefully handled and stored upright). Decided to go with a strong beer to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the repealing of Prohibition in the US. (Bottle Pour 4/7/2008)

on Tap, served in a tulip Very good aroma, amazing sweet fruit taste. The alcohol was well hidden. I had no idea the ABV was 10%. I would definitely buy again

330 ml bottle. Dark ruby red. Light haze. Lots of carbonation. Yeasty nose with a hint of marzipan. Ripe green grapes. Some fusels. Medium-sized white head that clings to the glass. Rich malt flavour with warming alcohol. Thick texture with quite a lot of residual sugars. Münchener malts. Notes of caramel and black pepper. More marzipan, but not as much as seen in earlier samples. Overall a very rich Belgian strong ale.
