Bottle. Dark color and medium fluffy head- seems to be a La Trappe head. Aroma of malts and definately sweet and fruity. Full flavor, but alcohol overpowering and too much at the end- not as smooth or as balanced as other quadrupels

bottled from AH in Mestreech. dark orange colour, medium fluffy beige head, caramel plum in the nose. Aroma has malts and caramel with fruity flavour. Alcohol comes through very clearly. very nicely composed complex beer, a little less alcohol would make it perfect

Light malty/banana aroma. Red/dark amber appearance. Flavour lightly acidic/bitter with a sweet/sour finish - but not offence, very nice.

An absolutely lovely brew. Deeply dark with a fine caramel cream head, a nose of dark fruits and spices, and a palate with hints of ginger, the slightest touch of cinnamon, and light bits of something elusive--nutmeg perhaps?--backstopped against a wonderful mouthful of dark fruits and brown sugared malts, yet with the alcohol balancing out the sweetness. Lovely. Absolutely love.

Had this in Toronto. Expected big things from this, and was disappointed. Nice aroma, dark amber colour, full of spicy flavour. Unfortunately, that spicy flavour did not feel all that pleasant in my mouth. Something just wasn’t "balanced" about the overall flavour.

Brutal one. The monks had done it good for ages. Minimal head, but beautiful amber color, the taste is very complex with the coriander. You can feel the high percentage of alcohol in the flavour...

Nice head that lasts to the end. Great mouthfeel, malty. You’d never know it’s 10% alcohol!

Pours an amber brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is of bourbon and vanilla. Body is light to medium with a fair amount of carbonation. Flavor is definitely sweet (syrupy rather) mixed with spice and malt. Can tell there is a bit more alcohol but a good beer for cold winter nights.
