Jan 16, 2008 Bottle. Dark color and medium fluffy head- seems to be a La Trappe head. Aroma of malts and definately sweet and fruity. Full flavor, but alcohol overpowering and too much at the end- not as smooth or as balanced as other quadrupels

Jan 16, 2008 bottled from AH in Mestreech. dark orange colour, medium fluffy beige head, caramel plum in the nose. Aroma has malts and caramel with fruity flavour. Alcohol comes through very clearly. very nicely composed complex beer, a little less alcohol would make it perfect

Jan 13, 2008 Light malty/banana aroma. Red/dark amber appearance. Flavour lightly acidic/bitter with a sweet/sour finish - but not offence, very nice.

Jan 12, 2008 An absolutely lovely brew. Deeply dark with a fine caramel cream head, a nose of dark fruits and spices, and a palate with hints of ginger, the slightest touch of cinnamon, and light bits of something elusive--nutmeg perhaps?--backstopped against a wonderful mouthful of dark fruits and brown sugared malts, yet with the alcohol balancing out the sweetness. Lovely. Absolutely love.

Jan 12, 2008 Had this in Toronto. Expected big things from this, and was disappointed. Nice aroma, dark amber colour, full of spicy flavour. Unfortunately, that spicy flavour did not feel all that pleasant in my mouth. Something just wasn’t "balanced" about the overall flavour.

Jan 11, 2008 Pours an amber brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is of bourbon and vanilla. Body is light to medium with a fair amount of carbonation. Flavor is definitely sweet (syrupy rather) mixed with spice and malt. Can tell there is a bit more alcohol but a good beer for cold winter nights.
