Bottle @ Dan’s house. Violet copper appearance with an off white head. Strong caramelized, candy sugary, molasses, caramel, Belgian yeasty, somewhat fruity estery aroma. Rich toffee, caramel, candy sugar, belgian yeasty, fairly fruity, plum flavor that’s somewhat cloying but that’s tasty.

Bottle @ Home. Pours slightly hazy burnt orange with a offwhite head, nice lacings. Aroma of malt, yeast, plums, sugar, almonds, spices. Taste is malt, yeast, almond/marzipan, nuts, sweet fruit, sugar, peppery and light spices. Medium body, rather high carbonation, warming alcohol in the finish. 101211

750mL bottle. Pours a clear light brown. Aroma is strange; smells a bit like some sort of cleaning product; no doubt a contribution of the 10% ABV. Taste is better; nice malt, fruit, and spice, though a little on the syrupy-sweet side. A decent Quadrupel.

Pours a dark amber color. Aroma is of malts, dark fruit, chocolate, resin, and more dark fruit. Flavor is the same. Nice dark fruit finish. Much better than I was expecting.

A nice beer for a long cold evening. Aroma is fresh pineapple and hints of ginger . Taste is pretty complex, and ranges from roasted almonds, chocolate to tangerines. Aftertaste is not very present, very vague bitter. Mouthfeel is brilliant.

From bottle. Golden with big white head. Sweet aroma, sugar, yeast. Taste sweet, light fruit, yeast.

Pours copper with a massive head.
Nose shows bananas, doughy wheat, spicy phenols (cloves), along with golden syrup and candi sugar-like sweetness. Very similar to a weizenbock.
Similarly sweet flavours, lots more golden syrup, alcohol, doughy and spicy notes. Finishes with a slightly unpleasant metallic bitterness.
Body is incredibly thick and syrupy.

330ml bottle from Cracked Kettle
Pours dark brown with a medium foamy and sticky head. Aroma has notes of raisin, caramel malts, spices and syrup. Taste is quite malty with notes of raisin, fruits, spices and caramel. Full bodied and carbonated. Finish is fruity and warming. Okay quadrupel.
