Poured into my Ommegang chalice produced a fingers worth of white lace that goes to a lace on top of a light tea colored body with some suspended partials of yeast
Aromas of wine comes from the bottle a nice fruity smell as well but you can smell the alcohol as well
The taste is the same as the aroma sweet fruit along with a light spice bitter
Not as full as I like my quads more of a medium mouthfeel with a alcohol warmth in the end
Its an alright Quadrupel not one of the best but drinkable

Had this at The Wildeman, Amsterdam.
Pours ruby-red, impressively clear. Sublime, creamy, off-white head. Totally impressive duration. Aroma has raisins, plums, yeast, lightly vinious, caramel, liqourice. Soft carbonation, impressive creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has a little cellar-notes, raisins, caramel, sweetness, winegums, pear, raspberries, toffee, vinious, plums and marzipan. World class!

Bottle @ Café Jos, Nijmegen. Pours a dark redish amber with a thin fizzy head the settles as a few bubbles along the edges of the glass. Aroma is not as powerful as expected, but sweet and with a good dose of dried fruits. Nice full and slightly oily mouthfeel. Flavour is equally sweet, prunes, raisins, fruit, berries and very complex.

Leaning more towards the English Barley Wine camp than the monasteries of Belgium. Clear chestnut capped with an immoveable head of fine froth. Enticing candyish snout dipped in treacle and christmassy rich dark fruits. Really smells the business. Banana cake, golden syrup, figs and brandyish richness balanced by a warming medicinal hint of bitterness to finish. And finish you it will if you’re not careful. Pours out a light brown/amber color with a fluffy slightly off white head. Aroma of raisin, banana, and some yeast. Nice full mouthfeel. Flavor is dark fruit, raisin, plum and yeast. Very smooth for a beer of this ABV. Well done BigMilly8 (376), Holiday, Florida, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 15, 2007 From bottle : Pours a dark clear copper color, with a big white foamy head. One of the best aromas that i have smelled, raisin, banana, some spiceyness, it is great. A sweet taste, with a little bitterness at the end, with some banana flavor at the end too. Feels somewhat thick, not to thick, but thick, on the palate, and goes down very nicely. kempicus (350), Wellington, New Zealand

Soft nose of plum, raisin and banana, some alcohol is percertive in the end. Fizzy but creamy in texture, it taste like a banana and chocolate cake. Avery soft bitterness came in the finish. I can’t taste any alcohol. Warming!!! brianbuntz (49), Santa Monica, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Poured from a 1-pint-9.4-fl.oz. bottle. Nice hazelnut color and fruit aroma and flavors: apple, golden raisin, apricot, etc. matched with spice. There is a yeasty, bread dough quality with a slight hoppy edge. Big malts and an alcohol flavor. Frankly, there are trappist beers that hide alcohol better, but this is still better than most.
