May 6, 2007 Updated: Sep 18, 2008Pours a nice caramel brown color with light carbonation. Very sweet but goes down easy. The alcohol content is totally hidden. Subtle spices add to the sweel fruity taste.

May 2, 2007 Dark golden amber color. Sweet malty, sugary aroma. Preseence of caramel, red grapes, apples, spices, and a bit of pepperiness. Rich, fruity flavorwith caramel, rasins, plums, apples, and a spicy peppery alcoholic aspect to it. Very soft and silky mouthfeel. Pretty good--worth drinking but perhaps not really a competitor with other Trappist quadrupels.

Apr 30, 2007 Absolutely fantastic Quad, my 2nd favorite. Aroma of cookies, brown sugar, and dates. Smooth, soft alchol in the taste with some dark sugar sweetness, prunes, toasted bread in the mouth. Some spicy yeasty notes as well. Very complex.

Shit, it was a rough night. Sandwich this in between a Triple, Behemoth, and a few more big beers and you have a night of bliss. This was just decent compared to a lot of the beers. But it was a pretty fantastic decent.

Apr 28, 2007 pretty good, poured reddish brown with a nice creamy head. Alittle bit over powering with alcohol. Im sure it will be much better with age. Still a very good beer. Im impresed
