Sweet malty, sugary aroma. Preseence of caramel, red grapes, apples, spices, and a bit of pepperiness. Rich, fruity flavorwith caramel, rasins, plums, apples, and a spicy peppery alcoholic aspect to it. Very soft and silky mouthfeel. Pretty good--worth drinking but perhaps not really a competitor with other Trappist quadrupels. kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA Apr 30, 2007 Absolutely fantastic Quad, my 2nd favorite. Aroma of cookies, brown sugar, and dates. Smooth, soft alchol in the taste with some dark sugar sweetness, prunes, toasted bread in the mouth. Some spicy yeasty notes as well. Very complex. xmarcnolanx (789), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA Apr 28, 2007 A very nice Quad. Candied sugar and estery fruity goodness.

Im sure it will be much better with age. Still a very good beer. Im impresed
