Quadrupel is La Trappe’s heaviest ale with a stunning amber colour. Its warm and intense flavour is rich and finely balanced. Malty sweet, slightly burnt, and pleasantly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. Quadrupel continues to ferment after bottling and offers aromas of banana, almond, vanilla and others.

Deep Golden Amber pour with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of candied dark fruits - plums, red apple, cherry. Mild spice. Flavor is fairy sweet and spicy with a somewhat hot boozy finish, and the same fruits. Some banana flambe. Expressive yeast. Big profile. Moderately strong carbonation. Good stuff.

Happy happy joy joy. This is beer-perfection. An artisanal meld of dark fruit, yeast and peppery spice, La Trappe proves handily why they are the real deal. High octane but it never interferes. Soft and delicate but over the top at the same time. I’m tasting history here and it is amazing. Ungh. Beergasm.

Geweldige quadrupel met warme, volle smaak en licht zoete afdronk. Deze quadrupel smaakt nog beter na een aantal jaar bewaren.

Aroma of dried fruits, cherries, biscuits, red vine, sweet toast, vanilla, spicy esters and of course alcohol. Full body, warming alcohol, sweet no bitterness with red fruits finish. Nice.

Mahognybrun med fint fast vitt skum. Doftar sött, kryddor, honung och farinsocker. Smaken omedelbart bred, mycket söta smaker med dominerande dadel. Eftersmaken dock tämligen tunn. Sötma och kryddor ligger kvar en stund.

Pours a amber red and hazy beer with almost nonexistent head. Aroma is dried fruits, plums, malty sweet with some caramel. Taste is pretty full, sweet and mildly bitter with notes of dried fruits and alcohol. Carbonation is quite heavy, probably a little bit too heavy in my opinion, but otherwise the body is almost perfect. Overall very enjoyable strong ale.
