Nice complex flavour of sweetness, sugar and some indefinable spice, but it turns out very alcoholic at the end. PilsnerPeter (2667), Flushing, New York, USA

This stuff has held up very well. Deep brownish amber pour with a creamy tan head. Fruity aroma, slightly vinous. Lots of plummy notes, grapes, and a touch of sweet fig. There were slight hints of oxidation in the flavor, but still robust. Vinous qualities, fruity and sweet with hints of grapes, berries, wood, and roasty toffee notes develop late. A nice, fruity Quadrupel. Aurelius (2663), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

This is considerably different on tap than bottled. Flavor is very fruity/melony and malty. Excellent. puzzl (2661), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Pours a very cloudy orange with decent though thin head. Aroma is a little nutty, cherry and plum, a bit of spice. Shines in the flavor though, with excellent nuttiness, sweet syrup, cinnamon. Warming, and a wonderful beer to lick your lips after sipping for a bit of sweetness (even better to make out with your woman ;) Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Clear cherry red, creamy beige head, tons of lace. Nose is malt, plummish, earthy, sweet. Front is sweet, the top medium to full, the finish is hop spicy, acidic, dry, robust, and quite pleasant. Age has improved a bit, but I still like the double and triple better. downender (2649), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Chestnut/red in colour with a tight, moderate, off-white head. Plenty of carbonation. Sweet, caranel and red fruit aroma, with some yeast and alcohol spirit. Flavours were big and very sweet, with toffee, nuts, cherries, grassy hops and bitter finish. Alcohol was over-prominent throughout. Ok. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 16, 2004 Beautiful creamy head on a hazy orange amber colored body. Nose is very fruity with plum, berries and a delicate alcohol note. Flavor is sweet but turns into a nice sour bitterness. Spicy with strawberry and orange notes. Hides the high ABV very well! mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Malty banana wheat aroma with some sweet booze. Clear, amber body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Grainy malt flavour has hints of caramel and banana and dates. Medium body is not obnoxiously boozy. Nice blended.
