First thing that hit me was green apples. Citric aroma. Light amber color. Sweet, but finishes with a little spice. Fruity taste on the tongue. Smooth on the palate, and I found the alcohol to be well masked; however, it is still present. JFGrind (1361), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 11, 2003 Sweet malt taste, strong banana aroma, and yeasty aftertaste. This bottle was in the back of my fridge for six months, I should have opened it sooner. Borup (1360), Albertslund, Denmark

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 21, 2008 On tap - Volo. App: Cherry red, zero visible carbonation, no head. Aroma, fruit, cherry and a little spice. Flavour: Wow - boozy, sherry-trifle, nutty. Again; quite boozy. Not sure if I like it. JohnnyJ (1356), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Pours a copper/brown color, much lighter then I expected. It has banana, plums, raisin, cinnamin, caramel, and soem spice. Mouthfeel is rather fizzy. It’s okay. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 20, 2006 I started to add this rating and realized I was adding it immediately following a fellow Oxford rater. And weirder still, I too found this bottle at the same "Dogdy Deli" aka Classic Beer & Wine on Cowley Rd. Interesting little hole in the wall shop. On to the beer: Huge cap of beige on a deep chestnut pour. Rich plums, spice cake and vanilla, with a high-frequency vapor hum. Rounded brown sugar and plum flavors. Clearly a substantial beer, but still very delicate around the edges, with a soft dry finish and a little lingering raisin flavor. I’m stoked to have found a solid quad I can get here in town! boto (1352), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2003 Pretty sure this was 2002 vintage. A bit of fruity alchohol in the nose, but not overpowering in the taste. Cloudy copper colored. Not much head. I almost expected flat since the cork broke off and when I used the wine opener on it there was no pop from pressure in the bottle. Somewhat sweet taste. Hints of fruit and caramel. Maybe this was a bit young, as I didn't get any of the bitterness that some others had. Still, quite good! Stefano (1351), Esbjerg, Denmark
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 25, 2006 The sampled bottle was from 1992. Redorange beer with a fruity nose. Lots of blueberries and raspberries. It´s huge and just keeps going, like a mix of The Green Giant and the Duracellbunny.
Spicy with a bit of a dry finish. Interesting and quite enjoyable.
