1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 2/20
The 10% alcohol was very pronounced . The bad thing is the beer did not have other characteristics to support the alcohol. Finish was almost a little metallic. Label says you can taste the silence maybe they should’ve of talked just a little bit.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This one was bought by mistake by one of my friends. We had tried the Tripel a while back and he thought he had bought more.. but to our unanimous statisfaction, he had bought the Quadrupel.
330ml bottle served in snifter at room temperature:
Pours a foggy mohagony showing no carbs and topped off by a huge creamy white head with a slight tan. Lacing properties are crazy making the brew very appealing visually.
The nose is outrageously fruity and nutty with tons of banana, molasses and almonds. I got a strong alcohol backbone giving a brandy aspect to the nose. Sometimes getting the alcohol in the nose is not a positive trait but in this case I found it fitted just right. It’s almost as if you were about to drink a winter warmer so it makes the brew promessing.
On the tongue, the beer is dense, effervescent, putting out tons of candied fruits and nuts. It breaks down into foamy and sweet liquorish dattes leading to an incredible warm finish lasting ages.
This is just a wow all the way. I recommend any Quadrupel fan to give this beer a try. It’s dense, complex and yet incredibly delicate. Awesome product! Cheers!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The appearance is an excellent deep amber color that is very appealing. Head started out a finger thick but with very poor retention. Palate is quite good for a quad, very drinkable. Taste is a bit boozy for me, and not nearly as rich or complex as other trappists, especially rochefort. I prefer a good balance of fruits with the hops and I dont really get it on this tasting. It does improve I believe with warming, as i get much more of the banana and vanilla flavors. so is probably best at 10-12c (about 55-53F)

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Caramel, almonds, some spiciness, though not as much as others of the style. Maybe a hint of butterscotch as well (though it might be something else that I can’t place). ABV is well hidden. Very smooth.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0,33 l bottle. Dark cloudy amber in the glass. Small head. Fresh berriefruits on the nose. Starts heavy, nearly oily, resin, dark fruits with sweetness, belgian yeast. But also alcoholic. Present malt in the background. Complex as expected. I enjoyed it a lot.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured into a Trappist glass and maybe it was my pouring skills but I was somewhat disappointed at the lack of head. However, it was a nice hazy bronze/copper color with some long lasting lacing throughout. The aroma was pretty amazing. Malty, caramel and some fruits. The taste was not complex but still nice. I couldn’t really put my finger on the flavor but it seemed like a mix of caramel and a mild lingering alcohol taste yet sweet and without a bitter aftertaste. I found it to be smooth and easy to drink. It’s a great beer overall.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Un gout corsé prononcé, une amerture très agréable, une touche de caramel et un alcool qui vien sublimer le tout.
Un final plutôt amère .

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home. Beautiful hazy Amber colour, nicely lacing beige creamy head that lasts. Nose and taste with caramel, toffee, dried fruits like figs and dades and almond: barley-wine like complexity in the sweetness. Nicely spicy and herbal Belgian yeast character alongside really smooth (!) malts. Finish is sweet but short. No big alcoholic punch despite the high abv. Carbonation is too high for my liking (typical La Trappe), good body, soft mouthfeel.
