COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Quadrupel is La Trappe’s heaviest ale with a stunning amber colour. Its warm and intense flavour is rich and finely balanced. Malty sweet, slightly burnt, and pleasantly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. Quadrupel continues to ferment after bottling and offers aromas of banana, almond, vanilla and others.

It has a dark amber colour and a very thick, dense head. It has a bit of apples, pineapples and banana in the aroma, a suggestion of sugar or caramel in the palate and malty sweetness in the finish. I don’t feel the 10% ABV. The brewmaster was very tricky.

Strong and malty with an array of flavours, while not overpowering in any category. Highly recommended.

Une des meilleurs bière que j’ai gouté, à boire entre 8 et 10°c elle a un bon gout fruité et on ne ressent presque pas ses 10° d’alcool. Je recommande aux amateurs!

Had this off a tap in Amsterdam trappist bar in town, was so good and creamy. The bartender would not give a third beer, he said too strong for a woman. I told him I am American not Europian woman so my tolerance is higher but he still would not give me a third beer, I was so disappointed. But this a great beer with smooth taste of coffee and caramel chocolate finish.

I was fortunate enough to try this for the first time in the motherland of wonderful Belgium. The aroma draws you in immediately and the subtle yeastiness that is this quad is addicting if not inspiring. I was extremely pleased to find it on tap back home.
