COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Quadrupel is La Trappe’s heaviest ale with a stunning amber colour. Its warm and intense flavour is rich and finely balanced. Malty sweet, slightly burnt, and pleasantly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. Quadrupel continues to ferment after bottling and offers aromas of banana, almond, vanilla and others.

Pours a cloudy ruby color with a good amount of off whitehead. Aroma has malty, hints of citrus, belgian yeasts and spices, and bit of alcohol smell. Flavor is sweet in the beginning, turning slightly acid near the end. A bit of carbonation with tiny bubbles tingle giving this a nice mouthfeel. Decent quad, a little harsh but I still enjoyed this one.

Shared bottle at home. Pours clear copper with dense off-white head. Aroma of apples, fruit bubble gum, plums, caramel, ethanol. Tastes sweet, alcoholic warmth, highly carbonated.

One of my favourites. Pours a dark caramel colour with plenty of thick head. Rich, sweet flavours with a hint of bitterness. Mild aroma that mirrors taste.

330ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma: rich malt, dried fruits, spices, yeast, hint of banana, vanilla. Taste: same as aroma- sweet, rich malt, dried fruits, spices, yeast, warming alcohol. Mostly sweet with a slight bitterness at the end. Soft-moderate carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Excellent.

Amber colour, big head. Strong bananas and clove aromas. Spicy finish, low bitterness, very sweet. Alcohol hidden. Very good

It pours dark amber with a light tan head. It produces plenty of lacing. It has a sweet malt aroma with caramel, plums, and dried cherry. The flavors are highlighted by a burst of fruity esters with the plums the most noticeable. There are also some spices with dried cherry and caramel. There is some moderate alcohol warming. It has a moderately full body that produces a sweet finish with a bit of bitterness. Overall this produces a burst of fruity esters highlighted by the plums with a complex malt mixture that has a pleasant sweet finish with tinges of bitterness throughout the taste.

Pite z kranu.
