COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Quadrupel is La Trappe’s heaviest ale with a stunning amber colour. Its warm and intense flavour is rich and finely balanced. Malty sweet, slightly burnt, and pleasantly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. Quadrupel continues to ferment after bottling and offers aromas of banana, almond, vanilla and others.

Thanks to Ramenen. Bottle: Caramel and licorice on a floral and spicy background. ABV is well blended into this complex brew.

Kolor ciemnobursztynowy, niewysoka piana,mętne. Aromat estrowy, słodki, cytrusowy. W smaku karmel i alkoholowa goryczka. Całkiem pijalne mimo swojego mocno alkoholowego charakteru.

Bottle, 33cl. Pours dark amber with a pale tan head. Very fruity aroma, peach, apricot and especially plum, some dried fruits and some malt. The aroma is almost overpoweringly fruity, perhaps. The flavour profile is spicy, yeasty and complex. There is also a huge fruitiness in it, more like a fermented fruit-like concept. Alcohol is more or less well balanced. Just a bit too sweet for my taste, and the fruitiness could have been more subtle. Full body, gradual finish that mellows down, nice oily texture. I was expecting a somewhat better beer though.

750ml. Bottle at kolonihaven shared with benjamin, pød mm. Amber with big creamy head. Sweet aroma of dried fruits. Taste is very sweet, maybe a bit too sweet in my taste. Fine beer though

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2016 Bottle at hopaholic. Beautiful mahagony-amber colour, small white lacing. Nose is malty, sweet. Taste is estery, banana. Very nice beer but a little bit too estery would even say its a hefeweizen with my eyes closed.

Gorgeous deep colour and huge bubbles. Sweet banana smell. Instant alcohol hit but still well balanced. Lifts you up and leaves you feeling carefree. Grassy finish. Wasn’t expecting that.

Unsurprising but damn, what a classic. This is everything you can expect from one of the best Belgian beer, taste is quite awesome and I’m not talking about the aftertaste that lasts in mouth for a long time... Not the strongest quadrupel on the market, taste is somewhat smoother than others I experienced previously but still remarkable. A really great beer for any occasion.. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!

Draught at Delirium Monasterum. Like a softer plum liquor, as enjoyable as dangerous, Maybe not the most complex quad but a solid classic.

Rather artificial aroma and taste to be compensated by an high abv. Absloutely drinkable but not my thing.

Flesje thuis gedronken, gekregen van Marja. Amberkleurig bier met mooie witte schuimkraag. Aroma is fruitig en citrusachtig. Ook de smaak is fruitig en zoet. Smaak ebt snel weg.

Somewhat hazy amber with a week offwhite head. Rich aroma of candy, dried fruits, raisins, toast, cookies, grapefruit, hints of spice and yeast. Tastes very sweet with a medium sourness from high carbonation, hardly any bitterness. Medium body, high alco warmth. An excellent warmer.
