9/25/10. Hazy deep red/orange pour with a small khaki white head that fades to a film fast. Light fruity bubblegum aroma with a definite hot spicy kick from the yeast and alcohol. Sweet caramelly flavor, hints of burnt sugar and dark candi sugar, with a touch of roasted malts and yeast. Nicely clean and tasty.

Pours golden orange with a fizzy orange head that siappears quickly. The aroma is very yeasty and fruity with hints of bananas, orange, and apricots. Alcohol is noticeable in the nose. The flavor is pleasant and fruity with some yeast spiciness. Alcohol is very apparant in this one. Mild musty aftertaste with very little bitterness. Almost cocktail like with the fruit and strong alcohol.

Bottle poured into a glass. Well balanced between sweetness and alcohol. Much better than the dubbel. Very good Belgium style beer. Would highly recommend if you like abbey style beers.

Bottle @ Bierproeflokaal In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Pours a clear golden body with a small, off-white head. Aroma is flowery honey notes with candy sugar and pronounced wine yeast tones in the back. Taste follows suit, with an additional sting of hops and hints of vanilla and caramel. Warming alcohol feel accompanies a rather sweet aftertaste, but not too much. Palate is smooth and balanced. A nice tripel on the sweet side of the scale.

750 ml bottle from the Four Firkins. Dark golden pour, slight white and and a bit cloudy. Aroma and flavor are both fruity and yeasty with some sweetness coming through in both the flavor and the finish. Great example of the style.

I am a big fan of tripels, always have been, always will be. This is nice enough but not the best out there. Bottle. Yeasty sweetness and sweet malts, toffee, apple, honey. It was alright, just better out there in my opinion.
