"A special and strong Trappist ale. The use of coriander gives it a spicy character. Golden in colour with a fruity, bittersweet taste.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast; Coriander

Poured into a chalice. Hazel orange, big head, stormy carbonation, a good looker. Soft notes of hops and coriander, some malts. Taste is bread and coriander. Finish is quite alcoholic to start but then soft malts. Didn’t like the stench of alcohol all over this one, it’s the least well made of the Trappist tripels, but not that bad.

Bottle 0,3ltr: Orange coloured tripel with an not so sweet attitude, one of the better Tripels in the Netherlands.

Bottle 33cl. An amber-orange beer with small head and a bit cloudy. Smell is on candy sugar and oranges. Aroma is well malty, specially with some wheat and maybe oatmeal, bit sweet nice body and specially nice round hops finish. Not dry and astringent as many Belgian triples. Some orange notes with a vanilla finish. Good beer, deep in malty dimension, very smooth and a bit creamy.

Very nice triple. I love that there’s something dutch about it. You’d think that the style would not allow it to represent dutch beer, but it does so magnificently.

Sampled on 7/23/2010. This tripel pours a medium brown color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is fruity, caramel, raisin, yeasty and sweet. A medium bodied triple. Malts are bready, ripe fruit, raisins, banana and yeasts. The hops are earthy. Nice carbonation. A very smooth, semi sweet dark fruity tripel. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet and fruity.

(bottle) hazy light caramel colour with tall white head; aroma of citrus (faint) and caramel, bit of spice later; balanced flavour with noticeable alcohol

Pours hazy deep yellow/light god, medium white head, poor lacing. Nose is massive bananas, cookies, overripe fruit. Flavor is citrus, banana, and loads of cardboard and damp.... Blech! This kinda sucks.

500 ml bottle Aroma: banana, butterscotch (?), fruit and spice (apple and cardamon ?) and bubble gum; Appearance: orange-yellow and hazy with big head and thick lacing Taste: semi-sweet, a bit sour under taste but easy to miss; Palate: sticky textured and full bodied, minimal carbonation; Overall: I like it.
