yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 16, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge, dense and light orange head. Classic caramel malt and mellow yeasty spice note, in addition there is a mild orange peel note. Flavour starts with a soft caramel and sweet malt flavour. A mellow yeast note appears which takes some fruity and spiced notes into the finish. Soft finish leaving the impression of a smooth triple, a bit dull compared to other examples within the style. BelgianBeerGal (1273), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Nov 7, 2007 Bottle poured into La Trappe trappist glass. Very nice tripel. Hazy amber/tan colour that had a well balanced aroma of sweetness and spice that carried into the flavour. FrankJohansen (3327), Sabro, Denmark Nov 6, 2007 Bottle. Hazy amber colour with a nice mostly lasting white creamy head. Rich fruity and malty aroma and taste with spicy notes. Good trippel. Mklein818 (165), Etterbeek, Virginia, Belgium Nov 6, 2007 A solid effort from the Trappists of Tilburg. Not as stunning as their Quadrupel, but a fine, spicy tripel that is balanced with a very mild sweetness. Very good with spicy food. beerledgend (919), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand Nov 4, 2007 Hazy bronze colour with huge white head. Nice floral ester aroma hint of alchol coming through. Wam mouth feel, caramenl flavours. very enjoyable. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Nov 1, 2007 750ml bottle. Aroma: Yeast, light grape and spice. A strong sweetness throughout. Alcohol comes forward as it warms. Appearance: Deep golden/amber in color and murky. White head was full and frothy with good retention. Good lacing. Flavor: The sweetness really hits me first and lingers. Caramel, yeast, apples, spice, and alcohol. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Light alcohol warming in back of mouth. Overall: Too sweet for me. Flavors were nice, but it just didn’t work for me. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA Nov 1, 2007 Bottle, aroma, very yeasty, quickly dissapating head. Malty alcohol is only noticible as it warms, not as a fruity as the nose is which in my opinion is a plus, as I prefer a drier triple. This one is a bit sweet but not to sweet. It a Ok triple. patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 24, 2007 bottle - Pours cloudy amber with a substantial head and a sweet, yeasty aroma. It’s lively on the palate and sweet in flavor with the yeast apparent and not much alcohol noticeable. It struck me as oddly thin for a tripel, which was the main negative point. This beer is a good one, but I’ve definitely had better tripels.
