La Trappe Tripel’s aroma is slightly malty and estery. Despite its full, rich flavour, this out-of-the-ordinary ale still has a light and dry aftertaste with a touch of bitter finesse.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast. 17.5°

A espuma é branca, desaparece rápido.

30cl bottle, served in trappist chalice. Poured a pale golden yellow with a one finger white head. Aromas of orange, banana, citrus, grassy hops. Taste: caramel, toast with jam, banana, orange, something medicinal like cough syrup. Medium body with a dry, bittersweet finish. Overall a pretty nice brew.

Something about this beer seem very flat and uninteresting. May be the lack of taste is because of what I ate just bofore I tried it, dunno.

Good abbey tripel. Mostly, mild aroma and flavour, not too much character. Lacks of the typical sweetness of this Belgian Strong Ales.

0.33 bottle. Pours a golden color with fastly disappearing white head. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Sweet, fruity taste with hints of alcohol in the aftermath. Bitter finishing. Expected a bit more complex taste though.

Aroma: light caramel, grain and bread malts, light yeast, fruity. Appearance: clear gold, small, frothy, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: caramel, yet some bitters intensifying, fruity, yeasty. Overall: decent Tripel, well-balanced. Bottle at The Dove, South Hackney.
