"A special and strong Trappist ale. The use of coriander gives it a spicy character. Golden in colour with a fruity, bittersweet taste.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast; Coriander

Bottle. My personal favorite of the la trappe offerings. Pours a hazy golden body with a white head. lots of fruit, orange, lemon, and apple. Yeast spiciness and a moderate alcohol warming. Good stuff.

Clear amber with lots of bubbles and a small creamy white head. Light yeasty aroma. Sweet malt, smooth carbonation, fruity and alcohol also. Dark color separates this from the Belgian Tripels.

Golden haze in the pour, citrus on the nose and a powerful and malty flavour. A bit cloying on the tongue, but a treat nonetheless.

From 50cl ceramic bottle. Pours caramel gold with thick head although subsiding. Floral notes and light citrus tones, gooseberry. Taste is thick and just as complex. Roasted malt, coriander, herbaceous mouthfeel. Transitions to bitter orange aftertaste.

Pours a nice sparkling gold colour with a white head. Yeasty and slightly citrus aroma. Strong yeast flavour with a strong citrus and vanilla taste. Quite spicy and hoppy.

Pour deep copper-brown with a medium sized tan head. Lavendar, metallic notes and a malty bitterness. Not great.

FROTHINGSLOSH (3205) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 26, 2008
Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was sweet, tart, yeasty and had a strong candied fruit note. The flavor was tart, bitter and had a strong cane sugar presence with strong ripe apple and pear. The finish was long tart and tangy. The mouthfeel was thick. Wonderful.
