"A special and strong Trappist ale. The use of coriander gives it a spicy character. Golden in colour with a fruity, bittersweet taste.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast; Coriander

Bottle pours cloudy brownish orange with medium white head. less frothy than most tripels. Aroma malt and spices. Nice flavor of caramel malts, yeast, spices. Seems maltier than most tripels but I liked that. Full palate with moderate carbonation. Finish mild bitterness with moderate alcohol burn.

Kind of a cross between a traditional dubbel and a tripel. Pretty good.

En riktigt fin trippel. Stort skum som läger sig ganska snabbt, gyllengul färg, stor doft av frukt som mogna äpplen och fikon. Söt, men inte för söt, alkoholstark, värmande utan att vara för mycket.

Pours in a golden and hazy color with a big foam head. Shows a very strong malt aroma of caramel, orange and alcohol. Taste has some bitterness and a nice aftertaste. From all the La Trappe beers this one seems to have the best development within the mouth. A rather surprise!

750 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a slightly hazy dark orange with good-sized eggshell head that leaves decent lace. Aromas of leather, cola and light fruitiness. Taste of toffee, lots of vanilla and a little dark fruit. Surpisingly light; alcohol fairly subtle; soft carbonation. Nice.

750ml botte, 2008. Golden amber, minimal off white head. Light malt, caramel, some belgian yeast with light fruit. Very smooth, medium bodied, light carbonation, sweet, nice dry finish with a bit of booze at the end. Has definitely improved with age.

Little cloudy orange to amber coloured beer, creamy white head, bit stable, adhesive and nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: some caramel, yeast, fruity, some grapefruit, toasted malts. MF: light carbon, full body, some toast, citrus and fruity, alcohol is pretty noticeable. Aftertaste: caramel, bitter hops, citrus. Not the best tripel I ever had.

Amber body and tan head. Yeasty, notes of fruits and some spicy aroma. Medium sweet, slightly bitter. Some taste of alcohol. A nice beer.
