La Trappe Tripel’s aroma is slightly malty and estery. Despite its full, rich flavour, this out-of-the-ordinary ale still has a light and dry aftertaste with a touch of bitter finesse.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast. 17.5°

Hazy orange, big dense head. Aroma of candy, corn, bretts, green apples, some leather. Medium to full body. Oily. Complex taste, spicy, vinous, candy, leather, soft hoppiness. Perfectly balanced. Very good

Aroma of nothing in particular. Appearance cloudy amber, decent head little lacing. Taste sweet and bitter but all the best tripels have a great palate and this dies a little, no great complexity, like the apricot tones of the Chimay tripel for example. The overall follow through lets this one down but still a nice beer.

Amsterdam 12/12 2015. 33 cl bottle at The Pantry. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is a little subdued compared to other La Trappe beers. A little yeast and notes of citrus. Quite strong carbonation for this type of beer. Slightly oily palate. Taste is yeasty and a little fruity. Slightly boozy - but not unpleasantly so. A little fermentation. Medium bitterness in aftertaste. A bit bland compared to it's peers - but solid.

Tot nu toe wat mij betreft het lekkerste bier van La Trappe. Backlog from 2015/03/11.

330ml bottle. Hazy pale golden colour with a large, smooth, creamy off-white head, long-lasting. Aroma is sweet, yeasty, fruity and mildly spicy. Flavour is bittersweet, spicy, yeast, fruits (peach?), malt. Hint of alcohol as well, but for the ABV it’s hidden well. Nice tripel.

Bottle. Hazy golden amber pour with a white head, dissipates quickly. Aroma is classic Trappist tripel - plenty of citrus zest, a little bready, candy and Belgian yeast. Taste is nicely balanced, some citrus zest and bready notes, touch of sweetness but finishes dry, fairly full-bodied for the ABV, quite nice.

Fresh Bottle from Brewtopia. Surprised I’ve never rated this. Golden clear with flat head and some lace. Lovely marshmallow bubblegum herb and light booze aroma. Sweet vanilla honey light melon with herbal fairly dry finish with just a hint of booze. Medium body fairly soft. This is what a tripel is supposed to be like. Excellent.

From a 75 cl bottle, corked and caged. Pours a hazy copper with an off white head. Aroma of caramel and toffee. Flavors of butterscotch. Smooth finish.

Der Einstieg ist weich, süßlich mit von Koriander und fruchtigen von Banane.
