Not convinced, maybe too bitter for my taste. Also the carbonation is quite strong. Don’t like the aftertaste.

33cl bottle poured into a trapping glass. Golden colour with a white head which quickly dissipates. Medium to high carbonation. Clear and golden in colour. Aroma if biscuit malt and fruit. Flavours of banana, vanilla, caramel. A full and fruity bittersweet trapping ale. Very good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. I’ve had so many of these but just now getting round to rating it. It’s a bit of a regular. Often, halfway decent bars have La Trappe beers in their range. Deep Gold with a White head. Aroma is dry and spicy. White pepper and plenty of spicy Belgian yeast. Flavour has a wheaty banana vibe with caramel sweetness and a nice dry finish. Very good.

La Trappe tripel is a strong Dutch beer at 8%. Has a little bittersweet taste and does contain hints of coriander. Recommended to try.

Pours a cloudy orange topped by two fingers of coarse bright white head showing good retention and lacing. The nose is fruity, but more on the side of citrus than the Isid’or. Mango and honey. The taste goes along the same path with a nice bitterness from the herbal hops. The brew has decent corpus and carbonation and rushes down the palate through a pretty dry grassy finish. Paris well with chicken or white fish. Cheers!

Banana, citrus, honey, yeast.
Turbid golden beer with a steady white head.
Slightly bitter, sweet and dry; really fruity, banana, citrus, honey, yeast.
Really nice triple, not too heavy but still a good fruity taste.
