Not so much karakter as dubbel or Quardrel, but fine anyhow.

Sampled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2003. Dark golden with an airy head. Wineish and alcoholic aroma. Flavour from sweet apples and herbs. Nice bitterness.

(Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm, 17 Nov) Amber colour with small, brief head. Fruity and sweet nose with dried fruit, raisins and dried apricots. Fruity taste with dried apricots, raisins, cherries in brandy and marzipan. Balanced sweetness with a spicy bitterness in the finish. Nice one.

Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Amber coloured with a moderate, off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with some orange fruit and tired hops. Flavour was better, with some more sweetness, yeast, nutmeg and citrus fruit, leading to a gently bitter finish. Ok.

[857-20071127] Tap @ Beer Bistro (Toronto, ON). Grainy wheat aroma is faintly boozy. Clear, orange amber body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. More malty banana and toated wheat with sweet hints of caramel booze. Medium body. Nicely made, interesting.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew pours a large invigorated light brown head of fine to medium sized bubbles. It has a cloudy dark orange-brown body full of yeast. Its aroma is a very pleasant yeasty peach smell. Its flavor is full bodied and chewy with hints of spice and fruit.

Bottle. Amber colour with medium head. Very flowery aroma at first. Then some fruit, slightly yeasty and some banana. Medium body. Flavour is defiantly sweet with ever so slightly bitter finish. I had a excellent experience with this beer. Very drinkable I thought.

Golden color with a thin head. Lots of wheat and a little banana aroma. This tastes more like a Wit, with wheat and coriander the dominant flavors. Slightly sweet finish though.
