Hazy amber with medium short lasting head. Fruity and sweet aroma wtih yeast and oranges. Sweet flavor with flowers, toffee and fruits. Well balanced and vinous with discrete alcohol touch.

Gold colour. Some malt aroma, not expecially interesting. Warm malty sensation, quite good taste, with a sweet liquorice hint. Only partially balanced by the bitternes, the palate is ordinary. Pleasant to drink, but nothing really remarkable.

Though I never rated it here before, this is a re-rate since production was taken over by Bavaria. At least they still bottle-condition this one, unlike the Dubbel. Dark hazy amber - inappropriate for the style, unless you’re being whimsical but this definitely is not a whimsical rendition. Plasticy, phenolic, estery aroma - like latex paint and stewed peaches. Initial shot of alcohol masks the ruthless palate. Firm maltiness is fine, but the aforementioned off-flavours battle for supremacy, winning out in the end. Very much unpleasant and a steep downgrade.
