"A special and strong Trappist ale. The use of coriander gives it a spicy character. Golden in colour with a fruity, bittersweet taste.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2003 A very light amber coloring that is slightly cloudy and has a quickly fading head. The aroma is very lively and heady. I smell a very fruity aroma that has everything from raspberries to grapefruit, perhaps some melons even, even pineapple, I know I am reaching but there was a rainbow of fruit flavors here. The aroma is just amazing, I just could just sit here and smell this beer. If there was an air freshener of this beer I would be ecstatic. Alot of flavor in the taste and the aroma. Strong hints of bananas upon first tasting. An extremely good follower to the Corsendonk Christmas Ale. This beer does a very good job of keeping its flavor throughout. Thanks Indra!

Aroma is yeastly and citrusy. Pours a very hazy copper with lots of floaties and a nice white head. Start is malty with a sweet middle. The yeastly banana flavors really shine through. Alcohol is well hidden. Slight bitter finish. Where would we be without monks?

Bottle, at home (031225). Orange with a off-white head, quite fast disappearing. Aroma moderate malty (fruity), hoppy and yeasty. Flavor moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with much alcohol. Moderate body.

759ml Bottle... A rich amber/burnt orange pour with a moderate beige head. Nicely drying on the palate, noticeable esters and yeast spices. Some danky tones with banana fruits, citrus, tropical fruits mixed with hearty black pepper-spice, and malted barley sweetness that hinted towards honey Cheerios.

Overall a very good tripel. It pours a dark gold color with a very small white head. It has very distinct fruity (apple?) notes with a bitter and malty finish. I would drink this again, but it is not my #1, their Quad on the other hand... wow.

Dark gold in appearance, thin but creamy head. Aroma was initially quite woody, with hay accents. As it warmed, some cotton candy and alcohol emerged. Flavors were very lightly of apricot, a bit of bread, a dose of oakiness, and a grassy hop finish. Alcohol is quite clearly present throughout, and ultimately detracts from things a bit. Having said that, this isn’t a bad beer by any means.

33 cl bottle. Yeast in bottom. Amber colour with a fine rocky head. Great aroma of toffee, some sweet caraeml and hints of dried fruit. Also great flavour of candy and caramel, that ends up with a warm feeling from the alcohol. A great tripel.

Nice cloudy orange, off white head and sheets of lace to coat the ’Triple Glass’. Pineapple, over ripe banana, malt dominate the nose. Start is sweet, the top light, the finish is slightly sour, or better yet tart, acidic, moderate carbonation and a nice hop spicy bite to finish it off.
