3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - MAR 3, 2007
A nice tripel. Aroma is light fruits, sweet and spicy, peppery with a nice floral scent. Appearance is a deep golden orange in color, huge amounts of head. Mouthfeel was a little too harsh and thin for my liking. Flavor is sweet malts, light fruits with an alcoholic kick.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheBeerOrg (1979) - Crestwood, Kentucky, USA - DEC 9, 2006
Pours hazy bronze golden with a thin, mostly maintained beige head. Aroma is a mix of fruity esters: pineapples, bubble gum, and phenols: apples, and candied fruits. Taste is lightly sweet with most of the flavors present in the aroma. Some of the phenols are overpowered by alcoholic esters. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a Belgian alcoholic light stickiness and lush carbonation. Nice and probably my favorite of the La Trappe lineup.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BVery (1976) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - JUN 27, 2009
BOTTLE: rich gold pour, tannish head. Fruit and malt on the nose, plus some spice. Taste is mildly bitter, spice, fuller-bodied, very good tripel.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Nisse666 (1973) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 2, 2010
Flaska 8 grader, Provdatum: 2009-08-19
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Slick (1971) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - MAY 18, 2003
Nice amber color, strong lite tan head.yeast suspended throughout this brew.malty yaeasty aroma slightly spicy as well.Sweet malty taste spicy and some what fruity.with a slight after taste of yeast and malt with just a few hops thrown in for measure.Kind of a medium feel in the mouth with a hop bite in the after taste that gets spicy as time goes by.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MrRomero (1959) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 28, 2008
33 cl bottle, best before 02-2010: poured clear amber with a huge off white head. Drank at cellar temperature, about 68 degrees. Moderate bubblegum and dough aroma. The flavor? Pretty huge. Bubblegum notes, big alcohol, cognac-like flavors with not quite the alcohol. I would love this a little cooler but as it is, it’s pretty damn good.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Quevillon (1955) - Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 25, 2006
Probablement ma préférédes des quatre de La Trappe (embalage cadeau). Riche, épicé, fruité, bonne. Et ça ne veint pas de la Belgique.

Pours a coppery, whisky color (with thick legs to match), a haze of large particulate and a small, cream-colored head that fades fast to a halo. Caramel malted aroma with pear, pepper and white wine. Smooth, thick body with a fluffy lift to finish. Flavor is sweet malted fruitiness with earthen and woodsy notes, ending with grapeskin. In a word, relaxing.
