"A special and strong Trappist ale. The use of coriander gives it a spicy character. Golden in colour with a fruity, bittersweet taste.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast; Coriander

Pours a transparent orange bronze with a thin, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel and light fruits with a hint of biscuits and bready yeast. Body starts fairly full and caramely malty sweet with a decent light fruity complexity and some brown sugar. Finishes smooth with a hint of warmth. A pretty decent tripel.

A nice golden amber ale with a thin off white head. Aroma of herbs, candy sugar, yeasts and orange peels. In mouth, a light sweetish malt with gin alcohol notes, a bit of coriander, and oily motuhfeel. Rich and smooth. Tasted April 25 2009.

Recht milder Antrunk, etwas hefig, fast schon spritzig. Test vom 12.5.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,9,11,12,10 - 10,10

Pale-ish amber-gold; thin but relatively stable off-white head. Strong roasted/caramel nose, obviously lots of white candy sugar. Sharp roasted, even burnt taste. Short bitterness, and a flavour of grapes on liqueur, getting sweet after some time, and more so with warming up. Quite dry, well-bodied. Alcohol obvious, something meaty in the aftertaste. It’s a bit harsh realy, not as subtle by half as a Westmalle, but still a quite good tripel. But my heart bleeds seeing what used to be real trappist, and still aspires to, in this vulgar Standard Dutch 30cl bottle, as a bl**d’n Heineken.

Bottled. An amber coloured tripel with a reasonable white head. The aroma and taste are very sweet with notes of banana, bubblegum and candy sweets. The yeasty alcohol also comes through. Drinkable but really too sweet to be great.

Hazy orange appearance, with a nose of alcohol, butter, rum, and old fruit... old bananas. Sticky palate, full I guess, with a slightly spicy banana and grain flavor. Burps tangy bananas and lemons.

Caught in a rapid, sweet malt and nutty yeast current with nothing to hang on to, you try to grasp the rock berries and lemon logs that fly by but to no avail...A few branches of peppery herbs are thrown at you, but instead of saving you they slap you in the face and leave a stinging honey-sweet flavor in your bleeding mouth...Inevitable, phenolic treacley falls carry you, you think, to a certain demise but you wake up some moments later all dried up and ready to go...Again!...
