Very thin white head with a slightly murky dark gold body. The aroma is bananas, cognac and caramel. The taste is malty with bread and cherries. Also some vanilla and caramel come out as it warms. The body is thin. Unimpressive for the style.

Strong fruity aroma with plenty of alcohol apparent. Opaque deep golden blonde body is topped by a fluffy but shortlived head that recedes to a partial cover. Strong fruitiness in the flavour with alcohol notable and a pleasant botterness. Tart finish. Medium full body with very engaging carbonation. Sampled at Mondial 2006.

330ml bottle aged over a year and served in my La Chouffe tulip:

Golden honey hue with lot of small floaties topped by a fading fizzy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of caramel, candi sugar, pear, apricot, peppery hops, dusty yeast esters and even a hint of powder chocolate. Initial taste offered up a sweet mix of malt and fruit supported closely by a never ending spice character for clove and pepper, I too get some banana as well. A moderate phenolic activity and finished with a light bitter bite. Some lingering tart and wood tones after the drink. The feel is quite lively despite the appearance and is a touch warming and leathery. The whole is better than the parts and I ended up enjoying this quite a lot.

Bottle Conditioned. BBE Jan 05 A pleasant brew. Smooth, but with a hint of prickly carbonation even one hour after opening. Alcohol is used to add body and flavour - some hint of warmth, but mostly well hidden. Fruitly sweet like jelly beans.

Sampled a bottle with the gang at LexLarp in St Paul. Pours a dark orange color with a thin head. Aroma of fruity banana with hints of apricots. Taste is nice sweet with hints of peach and apricots. Very sweet aftertaste.

Poured a dark copper color with a quickly diminishing head. There was always some foam however from it being so efferevesent. Aroma of fruit, alcohol, and maybe a little cardboard. Flavor is sweet and lightly fruity with spice and alcohol on the back end. Medium bodied and fizzy on the tongue. A good amount of banana aroma is noted as this beer warms.
