"A special and strong Trappist ale. The use of coriander gives it a spicy character. Golden in colour with a fruity, bittersweet taste.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast; Coriander

Up front: I’m biased towards tripels. Hands down my favorite style of ale. This beer displayed an exceptionally smooth taste with hints of fruit. The flavor was not overpowering and in general, this beer came off as a solid choice for those of you who enjoy the taste of ALE rather than the accents involved in any given ale.

Aroma of coriander, sweet notes and a faint metallic smell. Taste is sweet and spicy. It could use more hops for balance. The body is rather weak and let’s this rather well tasting beer down.

Nice amber-orange color.Aroma is quite complex (banana, bubble gum first come to mind).Flavor starts with lots of fruits (banana, peach, orange) with the yeast, coriander and clovy taste showing at the end.Very well-balanced and enjoyable.

Aldus Huubs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2008 Pours a hazy orange/amber color, with little or no head. A very fresh aroma, yeasty, with notes of banana, citrus fruits and spices. Yeast, alcohol and lots of fruits in the flavor, enjoyable.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2008 From bottle, red wine glas. Konongshoeven is not the best trappist brewery but not the least good either. Creamy nice head, fully lasting with nice sparkling and lively carbonation. Amber orange body. This is a nice tripel, the nose beeing hay, citrus, grape, orange and even more Seville orange. Apple, coriander, honey, hints of green cheese. Spicy and complex. Medium to full body, dry and a bit on the watery side. Inital sweet and bitter taste finishing in a medium sweet, light acidic and light bitter flavor. The only dutch trappist tripel is better then many belgian tripels not really a world wonder but still sexy. Cheers

Little noticeable aroma for a tripel. Amber in colour and medium bodied. Wonderful acidic fruit flavours, orange passionfruit. The alcohol is detectable but not overpowering. A really warming drop for a cold winter’s evening (which it is).
