COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
La Trappe Tripel’s aroma is slightly malty and estery. This ale owes its crisp and spicy character to the use of coriander and other spices and herbs, as well as to post-fermentation in the bottle. Despite its full, rich flavour, this out-of-the-ordinary ale still has a light and dry aftertaste with a touch of bitter finesse.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast; Coriander. 17.5°

Poured from 750ml bottle into stemmed wine glass. The color pours a golden amber with white frothy head that lingers. The aroma is dominated by alcohol and coriander. Banana, clove are cleansed by alcohol and moderate carbonation making the beer full bodied with a long finish. Overall, one of the best Tripels around.

The aroma of yeast, with some grassy and wheaty notes. Pours hazy orange with a big and relatively lasting head. In taste more sweet than bitter, and a little bit sour. Medium body, a little foamy, lively carbonation, nice spiciness, finish short, bitterish and yeasty; alcohol very nicely hidden. Not bad for a trippel, though I have had better.

Pours cloudy orange amber with tall, thick white head. Aroma of cilantro, yeast, wheat, sugar. Taste is sweet and sugary followed by spices, pepper and cilantro, slightly yeasty finish. Body is medium rich, smooth, with average carbonation.

Very light yellow with a creamy head, draught. Yeasty, floral, hop, mineral water, bread. Not very strong for a triple. Medium body and finish, mineral and slightly dry. Refreshing

Bottle from Smatch, Brussels, Belgium. As good as Karmeliet Tripel! The taste is light as usual with Tripels

Orange to yellow colour, nice thick head on top and good lacing too. Aroma has summer fruits, grassy hops, spices and some yeast. Taste has quite a lot of yeast, spices and nice fresh fruits. Medium body with high carbonation. Nice tripel, but the taste could’ve been more fresh. Now the yeast dominated the flavours a bit too much for me.

Bottler @ Ringsted. Appearance: pours clear golden/orange with limited white head and a bit lacing. Aroma/taste: grain, bread, caramel, oranges, spices and a herbal note. Palate: soft carbonation, medium body, with distinct caramel sweetness, limited bitterness, average duration and oily texture. Overall: nice tasteful triple

Pours a hazy orange with a long lasting white head. A crazy amount of active carbonation visible in the glass. Aromas of yeast, and some light citrus and spices. Has a very fizzy carbonation and a surprisingly light mouthfeel for a beer boasting 8%abv. Has a rich, yet dry taste, very easy drinking.
