Trappist (279), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Feb 27, 2002 I was very pleased with this find, I really enjoyed the flavor of this one. RigorMortis (24), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 30, 2008 Tap @ Bier Markt - Absolutely incredible. Deep color, rich slightly sweet taste with notes of fruit, particularly bananas. Smooth and easy to drink despite the strength. Would have given it a perfect rating except I had their Quadruppel immediately after and it was even better ;) Tigerdyr (1), Denmark does not count May 25, 2005 A very nice beer, with a taste of fruit (nuts), round i the taste, and a soft feeling in the mouth while drinking it. Aroma is quite complex (banana, bubble gum first come to mind).Flavor starts with lots of fruits (banana, peach, orange) with the yeast, coriander and clovy taste showing at the end.Very well-balanced and enjoyable. cathcacr (585), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 18, 2006 Holy dogshit, Belgium! Only God-fearers and great beers come from Belgium, and this doesn’t look like a God-fearer to me, so that kind of narrows it down.
Now this is a Tripel as our poetic-metaphorical God wanted it to be brewed. Amazing stuff.
Cloudy, deep-gold/orange appearance, lasting froth, gooey candy aroma, a flavor that defines the essence of Tripel goodness, soft and gooey, goes down like liquid butter it’s so smooth. This is a new Ultimate beer for me. How does it get any better for this most wonderful style?
young (45), Georgia, USA Dec 11, 2000 Awesome smell and look in the glass. Alcohol not as apparent as in the dubbel (strange, eh?) because this beer seemed to be balanced better. Wonderful taste.
