"A special and strong Trappist ale. The use of coriander gives it a spicy character. Golden in colour with a fruity, bittersweet taste.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast; Coriander

This beer is a mostly clear orange-amber color with a medium thick off-white head that dissipates slowly. Thin spotty rings of lacing. The aroma contains yeast, malt, sour fruit and light spices. Medium-bodied with a nice spice/yeast character. Flavors of tart fruit, candi sugar, peppery spices and yeast are all present. The finish is fruity and yeasty and leaves a mild herbal hops aftertaste. This beer is enjoyable from start to finish.

Big yeast smell. Warm peach colour, with some floaties. Big head at first. Great first taste, that certain tongue tingle. Malt, bread, citrus. Nice mouthfeel, complex, finishes well. Terrific!

Wonderful aroma (banana, pear). Powerful, spicy, and fruity flavour. So far a perfect belgian strong ale. However, I did not really like the bittersweet finish.

Cloudy orange with a quickly dissipating off-white head and pleasant aroma of caramel toffee and candy sugars. The flavor is of dry sweetness with apple and white grape fruit notes. It finished with a heavier, candy sugar sweetness in the background. The body did seem a little thin, but otherwise an enjoyable tripel. This bottle did have a new label and was not called La Trappe anymore, but was just named for the brewery.

My first beer after a 12 day "liver healing" abstinence. Good to be back! Starts off with a light amber colored pour with a light, yet clumpy white head, good lacing. Effervescent bubble action lasts throughout - very good looking brew. Aroma - Alcohol is most apparent but not overwhelming, also note traces of bubble gum and apricots. Flavor has a slight bit of nuttiness with faint bubblegum and cotton candy sugar sweetness. Not very complex. Alcohol is apparent but not overwhelming. Carbonation is just about right - not champagne-like - but lively and perky. Very drinkable Tripel, not one for the ages, but a pleasant diversion.

Slightly hazy light orange color. Typical huge foamy Belgian head. Flavor is soft and somewhat fruity. Yeasty banana bread is also present. Medium bodied. Slightly dry finish. Have to say this is pretty solid and one of the better tripel style beers.

Dark copper appearance with a medium size tan head. Sweet smelling, yeasty, fruity aroma. Taste was malty, spicy peppery and modestly sweet. Well carbonated, medium to full bodied mouthfeel leading to a long lasting, dry, fruity finish.
