"A special and strong Trappist ale. The use of coriander gives it a spicy character. Golden in colour with a fruity, bittersweet taste.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast; Coriander

Light color. Tastes like a toned down, slightly more malty blonde ale. Quite nice.

sweet with orange peel bitterness. Pleasant and not too costly for a Belgian style - a keeper.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2003 Quite good dutch triple. Actually very weird why the La Trappe brewery isn't entitled to the label of Trappists, because the monks decide everything according to beer brewing and even commercials on tv. The only thing is that the brewery is a part of Interbrew. I hope it's more a religious issue than a beer issue, because their beers are certainly Trappist quality!

I like it alot...weak head doesn’t affect the appeal of this ale. A very wine like mouth feel and first taste impression. Then the hops hit you...very nice if you like fairly ’hoppy’ brews. I hadn’t had a trappist before and this seems like a quality product--- I need to try other brands.

Amazing head. It's huge and frothy and tastes really good. Spicy aroma with a slight yeastiness. The flavour is fruity and rather sweet.

Hazy golden color with a fine, bubbly head. Lots of malty and light fruit notes (cherries and cranberries), in the aroma and some menthol/medicinal notes. Tastes clean and dry, with sour citrus and an unusual taste in the back of the throat. Also has a subtle alcoholic bite, which lingers into a bitter-sweet, malty, aftertaste. Muted hops also come through towards the finish. Interesting and complex.

Aroma is very yeasty, with elements of wood, caramel and fruit in the profile. Excellent ceramic bottle, tall pithy light tan head and medium peach-brown beer. Flavor is fairly dry, earthen, woody. There were some unpleasant traces of ketones, and the beer was perhaps a bit too tannic. Palate a bit acidic, with building bitter.

Caramel and Butterscotch. Not a bad brew, but not a lot of complexity for the style.
