"A special and strong Trappist ale. The use of coriander gives it a spicy character. Golden in colour with a fruity, bittersweet taste.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast; Coriander

A bit sour and satisfying. Yeasty and orange and apples aroma. Hazy white with an orange tint. Mid-sip coriander spice. Almost as good as the quad. Medium wheat grain and creme mouthfeel.

This my be my favorite Trappist tripel I have tried. Better in my mind that chimay white, or westmalle tripel. The Westmalle is too sweet. This has just the right sweetness, with a fruity, honey-like finish. I can drink two or three of these in a sitting-then I feel REEEEAL good !!!!!!!!

Very nice. I never check the price of beer until the receipt is in my hand after I unpack in my house. A 750ml bottle cost CDN $8.25. I think it was deal. That says it all.

I tried this beer on January 17, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto. The beer poured a dark translucent golden brown with a thin tan head. The aroma consisted of sweet malt and vanilla. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, plums, a little caramel, and a little vanilla.

bottle in a snifter with some good friends. Clear amber pour with frothy white head. A little darker than I was expecting. Apple cider aroma with a rich sweetness. Mildly sweet flavors of caramel and butterscotch. Great finish with no aftertaste. Awesome tripel.

Another delicious offering from La Trappe! This Tripel has a beige, cream-like head with a yeasty and smoky/toasty aroma with some degree of sweetness. There’s something intriguing about the aroma in which I can’t seems to pinpoint what it is! Slight sweetness on the palate with apparent smoky/toasty character and a bitter but refreshing finish. Reminds me of a vintage Champagne I once had 10 years ago – 1990 Philippe Gonet Blanc de Blancs!

750ml bottle. Sweet fruit and citrus with a good amount of yeast. Lots of head, medium body. The 8% alcohol is not noticeable.

une de mes bières préférées, très agréables avec un bon morceau de viande rouge
