The world’s first and only Trappist white ale that continues to ferment slightly after bottling. Brewed using only water, wheat, and hops. No herbs are added. Saphir hops give the ale its citrusy aroma. A real thirst-quencher on a hot summer’s day that also makes for a delicious drink at any other time of the year.

Bouteille 33cl.

Aroma is moutig. Smaak is fris, fruitig en ietsje hoppig. Nasmaak is bitter maar toch fris. Lekker bier voor een zomerse dag.

Hazy pale color with white head. Aroma is citric, banana, fruit. Taste is little sour, with notes of yeast. Fizzy carbonation. Enjoyable beer, if you are into sourish beer.

Kaunis olut. Raikas, banaania, korianteria, sitrusta. Virkistävä ja kesäinen, oikeinkin laadukas.

Pours cloudy straw into a tumbler. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving trailing spiders. Sweet banana and coriander aromas. Crisp with sweet clove and banana upfront turning to dry citrus in the medium length finish. Refreshing... not sure about the low scores here...

Bottle @ La Trappe Klooster, Tilburg. Smell gives citrus fruits, some yeasts and a slight hint of spice. Look is cloudy but very consistent with a small white head and medium carbonation. Taste gives the same citrus fruit and spice but gets somewhat overpowered by the carbonation. Overall, a very solid beer for a warm summer day that could benefit from a little less carbonation.

Pours from bottle light gold with a large, thick white head. Typical Belgian witte, yet more enjoyable than most. Citrus, lemony taste with carbonation that is lighter than other wittes. Finishes smoother than other wittes as well.
